We'll begin with lunch at The Continental Restaurant in Buffalo Grove, followed by a special program at Indian Trails Library in Wheeling. There, acclaimed historian Leslie Goddard will bring to life the story of Rachel Carson: the groundbreaking biologist, author, and environmental advocate whose landmark book Silent Spring ignited the modern environmental movement.

Experience Carson’s powerful message as she speaks out about the impact of chemicals on our planet and the legacy she left behind.
