About Us

Temple Beth-El welcomes and serves all families and individuals who seek to be part of a Jewish community committed to uplifting the human spirit, life-long education and community service. Our goal is to promote the understanding and interpretation of Jewish history, tradition and culture and the practice of Jewish ritual, relevant to contemporary life.

Temple Beth-El hosts a vibrant and inclusive religious school and one of the city's most respected early learning centers. We are proud of how each member brings his or her own story to our diverse community — such as those who have a multi-generational history at our congregation and those new to the city or Temple Beth-El, of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community — a place to call home.

Learning

Our educational programs are first-class, with an early learning center onsite, one of the finest fully inclusive religious schools in our city, and a robust adult education program. Our goal is to provide for a lifetime of Jewish learning. We also host a sizable library and media center, wherein our members may check out materials at no charge.

Prayer & Worship

Our clergy offer a dynamic blend of worship opportunities. Our main sanctuary provides a truly awe-inspiring space in which to practice Jewish ritual life.

Philosophy

For Temple Beth-El members, life is a celebration through Avodah (in our worship), Torah (in our study), Tikkun Olam (repair the world) and G’milut Chasadim (deeds of loving kindness). Through strong collaboration between our clergy and lay leadership, we endeavor to create a communal center for our members and to encourage participation in all aspects of congregational life.

Woven throughout the fabric of our spirituality, our education and community service is our dedication to and support for the Jewish people and its homeland in Israel and throughout the world.

Now, as always, Temple Beth-El is your home.
