SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE WEEKEND WITH RABBI DR. DANNY SCHIFF
April 5–7

Once or twice each year TBE brings in respected scholars or artists to spend a weekend engaging with and enlightening our community through a variety of programs.

We are very excited to announce that our next visiting scholar will be Rabbi Dr. Danny Schiff. His book, Judaism in the Digital Age was a focal point of Rabbi Helbraun’s Rosh Hashanah sermon. His thought provoking presentations will focus on the need for Judaism to provide moral focus and clarity in this new world, as well as the role of Israel in our changing religious landscape. Rabbi Dr. Danny Schiff is the Foundation Scholar at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and the founder and president of MOJI, the Museum of Jewish Ideas. He is a noted teacher and researcher in Jewish ethics. Rabbi Dr. Schiff previously served as the Community Scholar for the Agency for Jewish Learning in Pittsburgh, as rabbi of B’nai Israel in White Oak, PA, and as rabbi at Temple Beth Israel in Melbourne, Australia.
