Join the Women of Temple Beth-El for Lunch & Library: The Women - A Story of Two Army Nurses in Vietnam.

We will begin at 11:00AM with lunch at Wick n Ore, then at 1:00 PM, we will head to the Vernon Area Library for a moving presentation honoring the more than 11,000 women who served in Vietnam, nearly 90% of whom worked as volunteer nurses. Actress Lynn Rymarz brings their experiences to life by weaving together the fictional story of Army Nurse Frances McGrath from The Women by Kristin Hannah and the true story of Army Nurse Lynda Van Devanter from her memoir Home Before Morning. This powerful program honors the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of the women who served… stories that deserve to be heard and remembered.
