Join the Women of Temple Beth-El for an evening focused on comfort, dignity, and care for women and children at a moment when it matters most.

We are honored to welcome Renee Silverman of Irv’s Luggage, a dedicated supporter of Luggage for Freedom, who will share how the organization helps women leaving local domestic violence shelters begin again with dignity. Luggage for Freedom provides gently used suitcases filled with new essentials for women, and backpacks for children that include books, blankets, and stuffed animals—small comforts that make a powerful difference.

During this hands-on mitzvah experience, participants will create blankets that will be distributed to women and children supported by Luggage for Freedom. These blankets offer warmth, reassurance, and a sense of being cared for during an especially vulnerable transition.

Guests are invited to donate a new stuffed animal to be included with children’s backpacks.

To set a cozy, evening tone, comfort bedtime bites and boozy beverages will be served.
