Victoria MacKay, Executive Director, is the chief administrative staff person.  In this position, she is responsible for the physical operation of the Temple building, financial matters, Temple staff, and the coordination of all Temple activities.  She ensures the policies, budgets and other directives of the Temple Board of Directors are implemented.

Vicky has been the Executive Director of Temple Beth-El since 1996.  She is an officer on the board of Chicago Area Temple Administrators (CATA) and she is a senior member of the National Association of Temple Administrators (NATA).  Vicky is a recipient of the National Association of Temple Administrators Service to Community award, and is currently working toward her Fellowship in Temple Administration.

In addition to supervising the smooth functioning of Temple Beth-El’s day-to-day operations, she focuses her abundant energy and enthusiasm on helping congregants and the community connect with each other and with Temple Beth-El’s committees, programs, and worship services.  Vicky also volunteers her time to the synagogue, nursing homes and assisted living centers with her registered therapy dog, Tova and new puppy Tevi.
