Rabbi Jeffrey Weill, a New Jersey native, graduated Brandeis University in 1987 and American University Law School in 1993. Rabbi Weill worked for ten years in the Jewish non-profit world before entering rabbinical school.

At the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, Rabbi Weill focused on domestic and international issues that affect the Jewish community. While at the JCRC, he testified several times before the Illinois General Assembly in favor of a bill, which he co-authored, to criminalize fundraising for organizations that support terrorism. Rabbi Weill worked at the American Jewish Committee in New York from 1997 to 2002. As deputy director of the AJC’s human rights institute, he battled anti-Israel discrimination at the United Nations, participating in the UN’s World Conference Against Racism.

In May 2007, Rabbi Weill was ordained by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York and joined Temple Beth-El as Assistant Rabbi in July 2007. Rabbi Weill and his wife, Julie Chizewer Weill, are the parents of three children.
