Robert Grossman, Executive Director

Robert Grossman joined the dedicated executive team at Temple Beth-El November, 2008.  He is responsible for all non-clergy related administrative functions including, facility maintenance, contract negotiations, personnel and financial management as well as facilitating staff, board, volunteer and member interaction and communication.

During his junior year of college, Robert attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem year abroad program, which strengthened his Jewish identity, and increased his involvement in Jewish non-profit organizations.  He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received his B.B.A.  Robert is also a graduate of the NCWA Executive Marketing and Management program at Cornell University and the Louis Bantle Institute for Executive Management at Syracuse University.

Robert’s professional background includes business ownership and prior non-profit administrative experience as the Executive Director of two non-profit organizations.  Additionally, he has served as a member of the Site-Based Decision Making Councils of three public schools, President of the KTANA group, Treasurer of Voces Novae, member of: the Board of Directors for the Kidney Foundation of Kentucky, the Customer Board of Directors for Ryder Leasing Company, the Board of Directors - YED Division of the NCWA, the Young Executive Board / Super Sunday Chairman for the United Jewish Campaign and served many years as a lay leader and Religious School teacher for Congregation Adath Jeshurun in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Robert is married to Sharla, and, together, they are the proud parents of seven children.
