Night at Ravinia

Baby Boomers

“I was more involved at Temple when my children were in school, but now, how do I stay involved?” Temple Beth-El responded by creating a Baby Boomer group. Programming designed to provide a social connection to the Temple for members who are either “empty-nesters” or soon to make this transition.

The group began by planning a weekend retreat at Olin-Sang-Ruby-Union- Institute (OSRUI) in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. It was so successful it will now be an annual event. During the first year a night at Ravinia and a Wine Tasting Evening provided the social connection and opportunity to meet other adults who are transitioning to being an “empty-nester.” This group, led by members of our congregation, plans and executes many fun and exciting programs. Everyone is welcome to join in on the excitement and become involved.
